Klose Injured

March 15th, 2009 | By: Nick | 4 Comments »

Germany’s top striker, Miroslav Klose, injured his right ankle this weekend playing for FC Bayern in the Bundesliga. He will almost certainly miss Germany’s next two World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Wales. How long Klose will be out is as of yet undetermined. The injury leaves Bayern with only one fit striker in Lukas Podolski. The Nationalelf will also miss Klose’s services as the team has never lost a match in which he scored. Best wishes to Miro for a full recovery to his recently stellar form.

Definitely unfortunate for Miro. Based on what I read, at least two weeks.

It’s official (DFB) he is out six weeks. I really hope when he gets back he is not injured again, physically or psychologically. We need him for those big games in South Afrika!

Oh yes. I had read about that as well since I posted my previous comment. Get well soon, Miro.

Diana,

We are going to miss Klose, but he’ll be back in time ahead of 2010, score the vital goal against Russia, and win us the WM. He’ll also break the all-time WM scoring record and bring that back to Germany too. He’s always been one of my favorite players.. so underrated and down to earth.
