Club rivalries put aside for country?

The national team boys were gathered in Dortmund today (five of them had only to walk down the block) and they didn’t waste any time getting up to all kinds of silly shenanigans. Determined to shatter any myths about German staidness whenever they are assembled, the squad hit ever greater heights of ridiculousness today. But in the madness, did they fully unite under the German flag? Or do Bundesliga rivalries linger?

Götze just wants to chat with his idols… but he can’t sit on the grownup bench yet.

Lahm is trying to convert the whole team to “FC Hollywood” by bringing around flashy big-time actors (Daniel Brühl).

And Poldi taunts Schweini after Köln’s victory over Bayern by singing songs about the removal of Bayern clothing… erm. “Zieht den Bayern die Lederhosen aus!” (”Take off Bayern’s lederhosen!”)

But in the end, Die Mannschaft stands strong, united in…

…utter ridiculousness. Bless their hearts.
