Euro 2012 Q: Germany Meets Turkey In Group A

The 2010 World Cup has not even started yet, but the qualifying groups for the 2012 European Championships were drawn today in Warsaw. Germany faces Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Kazakhstan, and Turkey. Going on current form Turkey and Austria followed by Belgium should be the closest encounters, but overall the draw is quite generous compared to the ones for Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010. Of course we probably have the most grueling travel schedule and also face two old-school German coaches. The first scheduled game starts sometime in September, so who knows what might happen then – we might even have a new Bundestrainer!
