Germany

Kroos & Hitzlsperger Against Messi & Argentina

Form Test

Germany meets Argentina for a friendly match in one of the last opportunities before the World Cup to tweak the squad. Argentina with the likes of Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero alone have a fearsome attack. How will Löw respond?

Tor: Rene Adler (Bayer Leverkusen), Manuel Neuer (Schalke 04)

Abwehr: Jerome Boateng (Hamburger SV), Arne Friedrich (Hertha BSC Berlin), Philipp Lahm (Bayern München), Per Mertesacker (Werder Bremen), Marcel Schäfer (VfL Wolfsburg), Serdar Tasci (VfB Stuttgart)

Mittelfeld: Michael Ballack (FC Chelsea), Christian Gentner (VfL Wolfsburg), Thomas Hitzlsperger (Lazio Rom), Aaron Hunt, Marko Marin, Mesut Özil (Werder Bremen), Marcell Jansen, Piotr Trochowski (Hamburger SV), Sami Khedira, Christian Träsch (VfB Stuttgart), Toni Kroos (Bayer Leverkusen), Thomas Müller, Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern München)

Angriff: Cacau (VfB Stuttgart), Mario Gomez, Miroslav Klose (Bayern München), Stefan Kießling (Bayer Leverkusen), Lukas Podolski (1. FC Köln)

Verdict:
Toni Kroos had better score some goals, because if he does not in the 10 minutes he gets he will join Mats Hummels for summer vacation. Meanwhile, Thomas Hitzlsperger can score three own goals and remain seated at Lazio and still be in South Africa.

Well Jansen is sick once again at the wrong time. I am sure there will be no surprises from Loew either.. Keine Nachnomierung!

If Loew starts Hitzlsperger I am going to throwup, I mean really you have guys like Marin, Oezil, Kroos, Muller and Schweini and Ballack and Khedira. There is no need for Hitzlsperger to even be on the team!!! Ballack alone slows us down enough in midfield, so you definately don’t need to add to it!

    tasci played well against barca

Loew reminds me of Michael J. Fox’s character in Back to the Future. He hates when other people calls him chicken! Loew hates it so much that lately he has been pre-empting them and going on a power trip.

Well at least he’s selected Kroos because of it, might actually field a decent side against Argentina, and now slots Schweini and nto Hitz next to Ballack.

As for Hitzlsperger. Thank goodness he left VfB. Now with him on the bench of a club heading for Serie B there is no excuse to call him up anymore! He is as good as Odonkored!

Hey let’s be honest though. Loew is not as bad as Adrion. Could not even beat Iceland at home!

I am goig to see the match live today, my first live match, can’t wait. Keen on seeing how K r o o s will do. If he comes only near his present Bundesliga form Argentina will be rubbing their eyes.

Kroos’ game isn’t flashy. His goals are often spectacular, his passes and through balls clever and his free kicks very accurate, but when you are used to Messi, there is little eye rubbing involved I would guess?

I was watching the old WC’90 final yesterday. It made me laugh on all the little cheap shots the Argentines where doing. Even when it came down to the PK when I cant remember who it was but he kicked the ball off the spot and the ref had to put it back and have a little talk with him… silly shit.

This should be a good ‘friendly’ and I expect nothing less than crappy behavior from the Argentines!

Germany lost to Argentina without a proper fight….. seriously Jogi Low should stop the “Experiment Line-up” because it’s going to cost us later on….. By the way where is David Odonkor????? And why Muller not Cacau????? Seriously man I’m speechless…… We lost without a proper fight….. In the second half they played slightly better than the first half……. Next time Jogi should start Cacau and not Muller… Although he’s a good player but he doesn’t suit in the National squad…. Sorry man…… you are just not good enough…. And he should bring Kevin Kuranyi back to the squad…… forget about the past and think about the future… and…. he should change his tactics from 4-4-2 to 4-1-2-1-2……….
