What does Germany need?

It’s three months until the EURO 2008 kickoff, but Germany is looking ahead.  It’s been awhile since the men’s team has won a major title (1996) and now everyone is wondering…. what does Germany need to win?  Some say the answer is simple, all that is needed is the guiding light, Captain and anchor, Michael Ballack.  The good news is, Ballack is back.

He’s finally fit and back in the starting line for Chelsea.  If Micha can stay fit, come June he will be back to his former self and will, no doubt, lead Germany strongly.  There isn’t any reason that Germany shouldn’t be a favorite to win the EURO’s, but you can’t count out the competition either.  A lot of teams will be coming on strong and no one can blame them.  It’s the EURO’s after all.  But, Germany will have it’s heart back.  The fearless leader that, while he may not be the best footballer, is by far one of the best Captains and definitely knows what his team needs and most certainly know how to lead them.
