Taking it to the Mountain
Symbology is everything yes? Evidently that was exactly what Joachim Löw and the DFB was thinking. On May 16, Löw and Oliver Bierhoff will head to the Panorama Lounge 2962 atop the Zugspitze, the country’s highest mountain peak to announce their set of 23 players for this summers EURO 2008 matches which will take place June 7-29.
The venue was chosen do it’s proximity to the another host Nation, Austria, while still being in Germany. If the weather is good enough, they will have an amazing view of the Swiss mountains from the the glass restaurant.
The cable car company for the mountain is helping organize the event with Löw and say they feel honored that he has chosen their spot to make the announcement.
Hmmm… ties in with the adverts they were filming recently.
Do the Germans have a PLAN? Shocking.
