Lukas Podolski makes a return..

In the Germany vs Cyrpus game, Jogi Loew decided to play Lukas Podolski in midfield and somehow, this seemed to be just what he needed. He assisted 3of the 4 goals and scored one of his own. When Germany played Wales on Wed. it was again Podolski who took the chances, but to no avail as Germany were held to a draw.

Some Photos from the match:

Even Miroslav Klose is happy that Lukas found his form.

And due to such Joy, Miro fills in for Schweini on the goofing around.

Now if Lukas can keep this momentum going, he may be able to find some footing at Bayern.

I also heard news that it isn’t 100% clear whether Ribery can play on Saturday. And with Schweinsteiger missing injured as well, this might just be Podolski’s chance to play in midfield for Bayern and prove his worth.

Loew has really surprised me over this year. He makes unconventional choices in player positioning and it’s fascinating to watch. I’m starting to realize for myself why they said he was the real force behind Klinsi.

I think that the dummest move Bayern have ever made was selling Ballack to Chelsea. But in return they have now Ribery, he is awsome. I guess Schweinsteiger’s injury might affect the team but the can handle it with Podolski at midfield.
