Haha, like that penalty Germany didn’t get for the referee ignoring that foul?

I’d say without these referee errors the result would have been 4:2, for Germany.

Even if I’m a dissapointed Greek I must congratulate both Turkey and Germany.Turkey because of their power of will and for fighting until the very last moment and Germany because they’ve got that…fucking talent of scoring when they desperately need it.This is really amazing!!So, good luck to Germany on Sunday! Many kisses from Athens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

emreka:

I am almost speechless.

It is impossible that you did not perceive what it really was.

It is impossible that you are so stupid.

My only explanation is that you worship a chimera and refuse to accept reality.

Or you are simply a shabby liar.

someone has to learn more about the difference between fault and diving? 4-2?they hardly touch the ball the whole game.another lesson of how to play football that germany has taken, and another one that the rest of Europe learn, and that is, it doesn’t matter how great the teams are, cause there always some teams who got better in other several skills, like faking divings, do a lot of agressions etc etc etc. they sucks and thats a fact that anyone can see!

@Patrick

Oh I completly agree. I suppose that is the reason why Turkey got so many players suspended beore that game. Really, diving and faking and doing fouls in the pnalty area, so uncool.

One lesson Turkey has to learn…it does not matter in the slightest if they possess the ball 90%percent of the time without having the means to use this advantage. Germany played one of its worst games in this tournament, and won. Turkey played one of its best, and lost. Why?

Turky : 9 chances = 2 goals.
Germany : 3 chances = 3 goals.

Says it all.
If a team just wants to look nice without winning, they should go to Ballet.

ok,they’re taking to much time accepting the link so i’ll tell you other way. go to advance search on youtube, and write on the “with the exact phrase” field “germany vs portugal”, then choose “specific categories ” - sports and finaly choose on “sort results by” choose “date added” and it’s the first video that appears!
stand back and enjoy the movie.

Sorry, am at work, no time to check it out. But whatever it is, I have no doubts I can dig out smiliar situations for “any” team out there. All you do is to work out your frustration for whatever reasons. Get a life.

‘I can’t imagine how Ballack and Rolfes and the damn shoot-chance-waster Hitz had such a terrible match in this tournament.’
Makes me want to shake my head as well. Ballack was rather quiet.

‘And if I am right enough, Germans are much better when they are not under pressure and high hope of the media.’
Yeah. FengFeng, Germany was the underdogs in the quarter-final match against Portugal and they did performed. This time round they are the favourites against Turkey and the performance was not there (even though they are through).

Maybe it’s better to be the underdogs coming into a match…

‘By all accounts, if Turkey had won, it would have been deserved. They played fabolous. It’s almost a pity they are out and I will keep great respect for that team. If they continue this path there is enrourmous potential in this team!’
Phil, you are right. If they had won, I will definitely say that they deserve it. They play like they have a full squad.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH,you’re funny, frustation???i don’t even am from europe, i don’t have a reason to be frustated with any of you europeans,i just love football, and i watch every tournaments around the world, i it makes me sick seeing people talking and worship some teams that are shamefuly bad,not technacly, cause germany have a couple of good players, but with the rest…and your team is the one who seems frustated, and desperate to win, i’ve seen some crucial penaltys stolen who certanly could taken you out of the competition a long time ago.and i only saw i penalty aclaimed for germany, and what about this?!?!?!?it seems that it wasn’t,cause that is not a swimming pool for the players to dive by theme selves!this video is the third goal of germany agains portugal, very explicit, and a penalty stolen when Mertesacker hits nuno gomes.and yesterday, another penalty for turkey stolen.and i’m the frustated one?god dame it, this Euro 2008 is a joke!one of the worst ever.

Turkey played very well, the best game they ever made, at least with less ugly fouls like they did on the other games, but they are a great team though.unfortunaly we have to remember that this could be one time chance, like greece, they did a great european in 2004 but this year they sucked like hell.

maybe, it’s just the expectations of the media and the people.
Sometimes I feel there are just 4 kinds of teams: favorites, top favorites, secret favorites and …. hosts.

true karl, the media are guilty in some part, but not totaly.people just believe in theire team, its normal to create big expectations…expectations so big that left them blind to see the reality.thats the problem in the whole world, and it happens to me too sometimes.thats why i like to watch this kind of tournaments, it doesn’t mean nothing to me expept watching the best sport of the worls, and even not being europen, i know that the best players of the world are european.all this to say that i’m not watching for my team benefficts, i can see what the europeans which the teams played in this tournament can’t see cause their too blind.its a petty, but no one except the turky who went to the semi-finals really deserved to go that far.

Greetings from Turkey
I am an “always trying to be objective” turkish guy..Well i think the “unfairness” for both sides comes from the Tv commentary..Believe me first I watched the game in Turkish Tv,then read the articles about german commentary and at last I watched in Eurosport…Believe me u would believe it’S NOT a penalty(lahm’s and Sabri’s position), if u would watch in Turkish TV..I accept it’S a %100 penalty but u should also accept Busakka didn’T give Turkey’s penalty in Colin Kazım’s position after that..Actually I believe that after the not given penalty position of LahM’s&Sabri’S,the ref understood that he made a mistake..with his guilty-psychology,he always protected Germany after that position..
Anyway Congratulations Germany..For Turkey,it is already a big success for us..At least we could show the world that we never give up,and we changed the view of modern-football…Maybe now the big bosses of the football who think that this game consists of “money +advertisement+ tactics+expensive names” could see that the core of the football is “enjoy of play+ ambition+ will of winning +fighting until the last drop of sweat”.
Best Regards

Hey Musti. Great post of yours, and agreed to most of it.
The problem with you last analysis though is, its both. Its both spirit, play, ambition, fighting and winning. But it also is money, advertisement, tactics and expensive names. It’s a big mix of all these incredients and that is why it is so successfull.

Outstanding observation, Musti. The media has a lot to do with it.. That’s why the commercials work as well.. subliminary! Good job in recognizing this. I see it in English, when I see the game (only on weekends) and have to assume that the American moderators are neutral. Hold it right here. I think those people have an accent. They might not be Americans. So much for neutral.
