Wtf is this?
Gomez again is something… I must say, ridiculous.
Fritz is also a joke… and also, our counter-attacking is crap… So many chances were wasted!!!
Hopefully, Ballack is still there, thank god.

Germany are through to the quarter-finals. And I can heave a sigh of relief now.
‘So many chances were wasted!!!’
True, FengFeng. Especially in the opening minutes. Argh!!!!
And this is strange. Jogi, off to the stands? This is really weird! Reuters only said that he and Hickersberger were arguing between among themselves.

Quote:
Both coaches were ordered to the stands from their touchline positions by the referee five minutes before the end of the first half of Monday’s Euro 2008 Group B game between Austria and Germany.
Spanish referee Manuel Mejuto took the decision after Austria’s Josef Hickersberger and German opposite number Joachim Loew had been arguing between themselves on the edge of their respective technical areas.
The two coaches shook hands behind the dugouts after being sent off. The game was locked at 0-0 at the break.

Regarding Gomez…*shakes head*

Not a very convincing win for Germany but three points nonetheless. I thought Austria played very well and I expected as much. But I am disappointed with the performance of the Germans. They struggled at various points throughout this game.

At least we got the three points. But their performance was still not as good as what I expected. Michel-Olivier, I truly agree with you–Portugal is on fire (as well as well rested) and the Germans would need to really buck themselves up if they want to even dream of going semis.

Yeah….the germans were not convincing in their win….Gomez was disappointing and low confident….Klose was always assisting and not shooting himself…but the went right was:
Friedrich who was sharp in his tackles…Lahm was still so reliable in defence and in attack..made a couple of forays into opponents half….Ballack and Frings were running around to seize control of midfield
Its strange to see the Germans so unconvincing…after close to 4 years of good football….
But maybe Germans face the Portuguese…which i just have a feeling they will go all the way through despite playing unconvincingly….the best performing teams don’t always win…

Thanks j!

Since winning qualification, after the away win against the Cezh, the Germans players are not living to the expectations. We had a number of bad results & among unconvincing wins.Yet,we recorded the arrival of Ballack & Frings.Hope that Low has the remedy to boast the club with the performances that we love as from World Cup 2006.Probably,Low needs to find proper words to boast their morale & turn them into real ‘fighters ‘on the field.Secondo, the tactics need to be well thought for Portugal got Solari & Ronaldo.Thirdo, players should recuperate for not only we had one day less but on the last match Portugal played with their B team with 8 new players.

Intan, true. At the rate Portugal is going now, every reason to be wary of them.

Germany and Portugal are my favourites and I really really did not want them to meet in the quarters. At this point I hate to choose between the two but Portugal has had better games and all their players are rested. Looks like the Germans are going to have quite a battle on thier hands.
