“In the name of the German national team I would like to apologise in advance for what you are about to see in the next 90 minutes. Please remain calm and don’t worry. We have a plan.”

I do know what he said:

“We shall play poorly most of the time, mediocre sometimes, and brilliant three times in order to win it and to make the envious English cringe yet another time.”

Take my word.

Folks, you’re really mean. :/
This maybe was the most important game of his career so far, in a sold-out stadium and he had to read some stuff while the crowd wasn’t listening or didn’t want to hear…
I think while most of us (me included) would have wetted their pants he’s still looking pretty confident. :D

Luke, that’s enough. The fourth option is really making me laughing out loud! :P

Regarding the first option…you are really mean. In fact, up till now I still remembered Ballack was suspended for the 2002 World Cup final. Actually, it was among my most earliest memory of him…

And Casillas had stated that the Spanish would smash us in the final :) ). So they are now overconfident right?
I’m imagining what a comeback for Gomez, play as a sub and destroy the whole Spanish team in 89th minute, like Bierhoff done before. :D
About Lehmann: Well this guy is actually challenge my will and faith, I hope that someone smash him in the face to wake him up :D . Maybe he will get mad. But it’s alright that he will mad again :D
Weiter Deutschland. We’re almost there. One step to the 12-year-postponed heaven…

Diana: Hey, I’m a Bayern supporter, being nice to Ballack though he is in the national team jersey, is still a psychologically complex problem for me! As a side note, I think the rule change regarding the amassed yellows was a good one.

Chitra: Actually I had a thought along those lines, though mine would have been “Timo, if you can hear me, turn on your Handy!”

LOL, Jan, now be nice. We (Germany) would like to win. Maybe Ballack asked the people: “have you seen Holland lately? We are looking for Holland. They were here and now they are gone. If you see Holland please report to the Lost and Found section behind the Turkish goal.”

Wow Ballack is so handsome. He could win on his good looks. By the way,I met him once at UCLA (That is in Los Angeles, ya know) after a Chelsea practice session. He was very nice actually, but I had to holler in German to get his attention. And, yes, then he came back to us… Signed, my son’s shirt, soccer ball, picture and also signed autographs for the other people around me who did not or could not holler in German. It was sweet. When it was over, my son with a wide grin on his face, said.. Mom you are so embarrassing.. duh.

In german TV they just said Ballack maybe cannot play tomorrow due to “muscular problems”. He couldn’t even participate in training today. All my best wishes!!

Karl, I’m speechless too. I was just simply surfing around online and watching the Wimbledon (me do watch tennis at times, unless it’s major tournaments) on pay-TV at the same time…and then that piece of news came about.

I am on the Westcoast/USA, so excuse me for jumping on the bandwaggon so late, but the ever resourceful Bild says that Ballack is playing. Who would have ever thought that I am looking at Bild for information.

Well, the final decision will be made right before the game… duh. If Ballack not in, then Borowski. Com’on Ballack get a massage and off we go…. Thought you wanted to win a title before you switch over to the USA. Okay, I am speculating about the USA switch… For goodness sakes, don’t believe everything the press tells you… even the reporters contributing to this site don’t know everything… Go Germany
