At least according to Fox Sports News: Bayern rate Ruud chances. Who would you give up if they do sign Ruud - Claudio Pizarro (currently injured) or Roy Makaay? Having two Dutch strikers up front would be interesting.

Considering the original source to this story,Nistelrooy wants Bayern move, I doubt that it will happen. Unless Bayern are going to radicalize soccer by moving to a 4 forward lineup. They already have Makaay, Pizzaro, Santa Cruz and Lukas Podolski up front.

Yahoo Sports says no. Bayern won’t feast on Italian “carcasses.” While the article says they aren’t interested in Luca Toni, they might think about adding a defender - some of the ones they relied on last year are no longer with the club.

Klinsmann steps down as Germany coach. Somehow I knew that he would - it’s too tough on his family to try to stay on. There will be some continuity, as the DFB named Klinsmann’s assistant, Joachim Löw, to fill in through Euro 2008.
