As if the recent play of the national team wasn’t depressing enough, prosecutors in Munich were investigating media reports that several Bundesliga players, among them a German international, had been in contact with a betting ring. Things are so depressing that only 3% of Germans believe their team has a shot of hoisting the trophy on July 9.
