What to do after Sunday?
For me, I’ll be awaiting the opening game of the 2006/7 2. Bundesliga Season. The fixtures for my beloved TSV 1860 are here.

Pruritus, win or lose on Saturday, who cares. The Germans are happy with their team. And on Saturday some new players can experience the cup. I like it.

I will also watch the game and Hopefully Italy will lose. Right after the game, I will call my Italian Ex-girlfriend(who also happens to be a huge Italy fan)and laugh at her over the phone while she cries…cruel very cruel I know…but hey! who said I was nice! and she’s my Ex..

What Germany did during the tounament just fantastic and wonderful! I think it was them that gave me a big thrill.I love their way of playing.Lahm is so…cute.Of course they will win the bronze and send those good-at-acting Portuguese straight back to home.

How is Klose today?
Ive got him Golden Boot winner so am more anxious than most!

Hey, just back from two weeks in Germany. Saw three games live (Germany/Italy too) and had an EXCELLENT time!!! Germany should be proud of not only their players but also about the spectacle they put on. AMAZING people, fan miles, parties and gorgeous women!!! Even the cops and security were cool. I’m an Italy fan from Canada and except for game day (which I can understand), the German people were fantastic. Had many Germans even congratulate me after the game around the stadion in Dortmund and in the fan mile(some came close to starting trouble but again, understandable, no one crossed the line too much). I will never forget the last two weeks, Germany ROCKS!!!!!!
To the German media…hey, so much for making pizza out of us eh guys? And contrary to popular belief, I have no affiliation with the mob…sorry to disappoint you. One last thing, to all those Germans I congratulated after they beat Argentina, I told you…”watch out for Italy in Dortmund…enjoy yourselves now, the big hurt is coming…”

All so eager to send the portuguese home and keep the bronze.
Well good friends, Portugal was always well known for the bronze (=sun tan). So no matter what, we already have it!

Prince Poldi won young player award. How sweet is that. Germany and Poland will be happy about that. I had hoped they’d give it to a player whose team has demonstrated fairness and sportsmanship.

To all you German fans, I have a recommendation for Sunday. Cancel your Italia vacation and rebook to California where the real people live. The food here is great too… very much so. Mexican food is very good, American food is excellent, we also have many Asian restaurants, German and French restaurants. One of my favorites is Thai. The pizza joints are not recommended.

I think Zidane will get golden ball and he should. Klose the golden boot and Poldi already has his reward.

Natalie, tu est vraiment stupide. No doubt you are quite jealous of all those Italians you see in your towns and would love to watch them all be shipped home on a giant barge that would be blown up en route correct?
You are nothing less than a racist and a biggot.

The best young player wasn’t even on the short list, phillip lahm. hes got enormous potential, maybe we saw the birth of a new beckenbauer.
Podolski had two mediocre games vs. costa rica and poland, but he’s got a lot of skill. he played 2nd league til last year, now he’s playing champions league with bayern munich.
a very talented young man, rocking germanies 2nd Bundesliga:

Sepp, Du bist ein Idiot. Da Du kein Deutscher bist, wirste Du mich sowieso nicht verstehen. So in English, Sepp you are an idiot.

I’ve talked to about 30 people so far today (my first day back) and everyone is pleased to hear that Germany and Germans were excellent this WC. A class act all the way!! Rene, Pruritis, Sepp etc., you should all be proud. Fantastic!!! I’m going to ask Mexicans to read some of this blog, maybe they can learn a thing or two about losing with honour. By the way, Berlin and Hamburg are tied for my favourite cities, Nurenberg a close second. Hell I went to six cities and they were all great!!! Wish I had tix for the final, it would have been great. That’s okay, I’ve got about 500,000 Italians to party with on Sunday here in Toronto….rock on Germany!!!!

Vin, how can I be proud when the Germans committed so many fouls, some of them so brutal which could be prosecuted as criminal assaults.
Take for example Torsten Frings who punched an Argentinian in the face or Ballack who bloodied USA’s McBride by hitting his nose with his elbow, almost breaking it.

@Sepp:
Did you see at least one of the games in the world cup?
Germany didn’t play vs. USA, it was an italian player who elbowed McBride.
And the argentinian player, Maxi Rodrigez said himself that Frings didn’t touch him. The barring was purely politically motivated.
In fact I doubt you saw the games and I doubt as well that you’re German.

Thanks Rene. Only a few years ago supporters were seperated in Rotterdam before the final between Feyenoord and Borussia Dortmund. I hope the next time the fans can party together as seen everywhere in this worldcup!
This really was the worldcup of the fans. Not the best games but the best party ever. And seeing the dutch supporters in Nuremberg they are a hot candidate for a “fan trophy”.
Already looking forward to Euro 2008…
