Thank you Klinsi! It was fun while it lasted
Klinsmann steps down as Germany coach. Somehow I knew that he would – it’s too tough on his family to try to stay on. There will be some continuity, as the DFB named Klinsmann’s assistant, Joachim Löw, to fill in through Euro 2008.

Too bad for Germany, he did an OUTSTANDING job. Perhaps it’s a break for the US…?

He went out on top, while popular. We saw the climax where his success made him a folk hero. In April of this year, his dismissal was being promoted by Beckenbauer and the press. He fought the DFB and put a lot on the line. They don’t deserve him.

i’ll be missing that thurst of the fist into the air, after each goal germany scored! it really was wonderful to see the joy it gave klinsi when we scored .i think he will be thouroughly missed by all germans! lets not forget he was one of their all-time best PLAYERS too! teams should feel lucky to have great coaching, such as jurgen…

I’ve got to say how happy I am that Klinsmann has quit. Maybe Ireland have a chance to qualify to Euro 2008. Thanks Klinsi, your cheque in in the mail.
Great player and coach, please come and sort our FAI like you did the DFB.
(Well done Germany on your fantastic staging of the World Cup)

yes…Germany dont deserve Klinssman… Klinsmann did give a punch to DFB and show that patience can gives positive results instead of bashing him and critic him very harshly when the team performed badly during friendly. Klinsmann proved that his vision, imagination does work in reality and gives positive results where people thought he was dreaming before all this. Klinsmann was my idol since i was a kid playing football and after World Cup 1990 winning, he is always my idol even when he is in US and until he coached Germany…I always could not wait for the World Cup to start even when they lost in friendly, I always have faith in him and his team because Klinsmann gives a different aura in a team, his influence is so strong just imagine how many teams he had saved especially from EPL Tottenham everyone loves him and call him the saviour. He is my idol of striker instead of Pele or Maradona. So now, he is gone out from Germany camp, DFB can only bite their own fingger especially Beckebauer. The team knows Klinsmann and will greatly miss his powerful aura and influence and confidence given to them. They started to believe in themselves when Klinsmann around and I dont know how they want to cope with it now.

Well, some of the Yankees are
fancying to get him as their nat’l coach (him living in California, being fluent in English, being linked to all kinds of pro sports – esp. soccer associations and what have you not) – I do not believe it.
I think the guy is serious about his family being his top priority. And that would not last if he took over.
In fact I think that familiy priority thing might well be called the one aspect that ought to win him the biggest acclaim.

I think Klinsi was good for Germany but Germany is no longer good for Klinsi. He probably hasn’t forgotten all the insults and ridicule coming from the German aristocracy. Proof you can do it and get out. I would think that the USA will be great for Klinsmann and Klinsmann will be great for the USA. I read somewhere that 2010 might not be held in South Africa because of the delay in planning etc. Might come back to the USA or another country that is better prepared.

…and…. Klinsmann should bring Philip Lahm with him.

Prophet, money is also an issue in the life of people, even the ones that make families their priority. I believe, if JK has 6 months vacation with his family, they won’t mind if he goes to work again. As the coach of the USA team he would not have to travel quite as much.

SoCal:
Sounds logical what you’ve said.
BUT money is not a big issue with Klinsmann. Do not get me wrong. I am not saying he does not cherish a buck or rather some millions of it.
BUT
- he has made so much money already (wait a minute, wait a minute , I know what is at your hand as an immediate reaction: something like the rich never get enough or are addicted to ever-increasing accumulation)
- and he is continuing to have a lava-like influx of money almost by the hour ( I read figures about amounts recently and if I could remember – which I cannot – I might easily corroborate my argument )… phhhhew !!!
that this aspect is out of focus.
No, I fancy Klinsi’s motto might simply be summarized in Frankieboy’s “I DID IT MY WAY “.

C o r r e c t i o n :
Sorry, I have only now realized that in the previous post I made the mistake of naming myself SoCal instead of Prophet (which was due to follow as the introductory word of the text proper).
Oh well, nobody seems to have noticed anyway

Klinsi is still young. Maybe in the future he might coach again. Who knows..
And there’s many other candidates. Matthias Sammer ?

Thanks Klins great job….I especially enjoyed slapping Argentina out of the WC…..they are much much to arrogant with nothing to back it up.
If you coach the US i’m sure you will continue in your success.
Thanks
