Oliver Hinz tries to explain FC Bayern’s woes

May 4th, 2006 | By: Harvey Morrell | 2 Comments »

Bayern success cannot hide problems. While he makes some valid points, I think Hinz is a tad off-base about the reason for Bayern’s lack of recent success in international competitions being because they haven’t invested in an internationally recognized superstar. Their 2001 Champion’s League winning side had Lizarazu and Giovane Elber. This year’s team has Sagnol, Demichelis, Santa Cruz, Pizzaro, and Makaay. Had Hinz noted that Bayern’s lack of success in the Champions League began when Carsten Jancker left, I might have agreed with him.

Janker is a wanker, and I do own a video in which his wiener pops out, too. If you wanna see a star, take Makaay for instants. Deisler has the talent to be a bigger star than Ballack, but he is injured quite often.

I agree with you that Deisler is a huge talent, but his mental toughness may keep him from fully realizing it. Playing for FC Hollywood doesn’t help. I have a soft spot for Jancker the Wanker because I won the Champions League with 1860 (in a football manager game) when I aquired him from Bayern. :)
