It was fun while it lasted

Germany loses as Italy scores 2 goals late in the second overtime period. Congratulations to Italy - they played a great game, especially in the second overtime as the action was end to end. Wow!

One more “conspiracy theory” comment. Hasn’t anyone seen the great amount on shots that went above the goal? The balls used in this WC weight like 1gr. I bet the germs are practicing with those balls since the last four years, while for most of the players are impossible to handle.

@Gioia

anyword can be usedd in a satiric comment. that´s what freedom of speech and freedom of the press is about.

I said that i do not like Achilles comments at speigel online and i do not like mr schumacher as a person as far as i can judge it from intervirews i saw on tv.

You should read my first comment about the match and should more concentrate on the posts of your countrymen here.
Perhabs some of my posts are a little too ironic and there we have the problem again but you have a new government at least for the next four or five weeks so there is hope to learn the difference between humor and serious comments.

if Argentinians would be as good as football-players as they are in whining and bitching and crying, they would play on sunday.

@biff

…the Germans are only your ‘teutonic friends’ until they are in trouble..then you find new friends! As for ‘class’…very ‘classy’ of your press to find Frings’ indiscretion..I wonder who would have been standing on Pirlo when he gave that pass to Grosso? Italians ‘classy’…to us Australians they were very ‘assy’ so count yourself lucky…Last thought, if you win the Cup will they let you take it to jail?

Hey Mike,

What language do they speak in Brazil? LOL You go in every forum and complain about white people who you think want to be “Latin.” That’s hilarious, and racist of course. As if a white person can’t be a fan of Brazilian football and not want to change his race. Come on, Mikey boy, tell us all how Brazilians speak Spanish again. Only, tell us in Portuguese so the Brazilians will understand it. HAHAHAHAHA!

Hey John,

PORTUGUESE SPOKEN IN BRAZIL???
Where do you think Portuguese came from? Latin languages are similar and I have no problem understanding Italian, Spanish etc;…
For the record,
Brazilians DO understand Spanish you dipsh!t. Have you ever been there? They don’t speak real Portuguese either.

Spanish has very few phonemes (meaning-distinguishing sounds) while Portuguese has a lot of them. Yes, the great majority of words in the two languages are similar, many of the day-to-day kinds of words (food names, furniture, common verbs) are very different,
Examples: pollo/frango; piña/abacaxi; cenar/jantar.

Go take some linguistic lessons and acutally learn about the culture before you automatically label yourself as a loyal fan.

John,
Just admit it, you are a bandwagon fan that is upset your team got bounced early this cup. :)No need to take it out on the Italian team just go cry on your own fan sites.

Wonder if FIFA is going to apologize to the German Team for making such a bad and devasting call hours before the game. Is FIFA afraid of the Italians? My heart still goes out to Torsten Frings, who so deserved to play and who would have made the difference in this match against Italia. FIFA you broke Klinsi’s heart.

@Thomas
the word “Friends” seems to have a reciprocal meaning if it is used by some italians.

Mikey Boy,

Nice try. Thanks for the amusement. I figured you for a wimp who couldn’t admit he didn’t know something as basic as what language is spoken in a country. Right again. Of course, all these languages are based on Latin, so they all bear some resemblance. It’s a shame you couldn’t just be a man and laugh at yourself for making a mistake. I’d have had respect for you if you had, but you blew it.

John,

I admit I made a typo not thinking but all I could was picture was a little teenager named John listening to Shakira with headphones on. I guess that’s why I said Spanish. There you go I admit my mistake.

HAHAHA You fit the picture of this guy John I know who is French but won’t admit it in public. He kept telling me that Italy would not advance and that Argentina or Brazil would be in the WC final. Funny thing is both are out and the country that gave him his blood and his last name made it through. Even funnier is that he has always claimed he is Irish (never qualified) and still thinks he is a Latino. He is married to a Nicuraguan speaks Spanish. All too funny, he is so embarrassed to be French. All of a sudden the final has become a “Me Vs John” (he is now rooting for France).
The only difference between me and him is I am not ashamed of where I came from.

I just want to expose the real John. So John, come on… tell us what your background is and why you support Brazil! Why would you support a country that you know nothing about?

Is it b/c you are one of the many bandwagon fans that likes the Nike commercials?
Anyways, I’m done talking to you John b/c you are no match for me. Italy will shut you up in less than 48 hours.

Germany you were great!

France you were the better team today!

Italy should have been back home since 1/8 finals! Only comfort is that most of the italian dive kings will play 3rd league from 2morrow on! Maybe italy will be disqualified… that’s what happens in sports usually when there’s a scandal!!!!

http://www.pizzaboykott.de! No more italian ice-cream, pasta or pizza… I’m gonna be the perfect 8! Yeah!

back to the topic:
Italy won…thats fair enough since we won there in 1990 - ever seen it this way?

@Frederick The Revelator:

of course the germans are the champions!

how could the dive-kings (now officially with 32 dives during the WM) with their call-Zisou-a-terrorist-moron be real champions? Champions don’t look that way and champions play fair soccer.

“I will lose 20 pounds” says that the Germans are champions.

This statement of yours sums up all the anti-italian statements posted
on this blog: it’s pure crap.

First, at the eginning of the World Cup, you Germans kept insulting us in every way.

Then after we whipped your ass,
you , a German and a racist, hoped for France, your secular enemy and whose players are 60% black, to beat Italy.

What’s the reason for all this hatred?

Maybe I should start rejoicing because the Russians whipped your ass in WW2.

WILL LOOSE 20 POUNDS
I see..you were delirious from indigestion of the 2 big pepperoni pizza slammed into you by Grosso and Del Piero.
So you lost 20 pounds…

I hope that after all those misfortunes you didn’t lose your way on the Autobahn from Dortmund after the loss to Italy LOL
