Congrats on winning your group! Although the Ecuador side wasn’t their A team, Germany still looked very good…a nice tune-up for the next round. I’ve got a good feeling about the hosts…

Now if the US can find a way past Ghana and get a little help from Italy…

Definitely Germany’s best performance so far. Sweden will be tougher opposition, but I think the Germans will go through.

Germany looked awesome today! Best in decades, I thought. Go Deutchland!

Watched the England/Sweden match as well…I dunno, seems lucky that the English don’t have to face the Germans just yet!

Germany looked good but you can see they’re being coached by Klinsmann - he’s taught them how to dive and appears to have included diving as a part of his world cup strategy. You just have to touch a German player that’s running with the ball and he’ll fall over.
Pity about that.

Actually, posted on http://www.fedexshow.com , there are some really funny videos (3D animated films involving witty cavemen) with commentaries on the match! Enjoy.

No diving in the German team??? I saw at least 6 incidents in last night’s game that can be classed as diving - if you have it recorded, watch it again and count. But be honest with yourself when if watch it again.
Have you ever watched Klinnsman in his day? He must class as the biggest cheat ever in professional football. The guy’s a disgrace to Germany.

Germany loves Klinsmann. What are you talking about, Craig?

@Craig

Do you really think, Klinsmann would have become so popular in the Premier League, if he really was ‘the biggest cheat ever in professional football’?

Honestly, if the German team is diving all the time, why didn’t they get a single yellow card in three games for doing so?

Diving is a problem in football everywhere. Enough said.

Klinsmann is certainly not a well known diver and if there is anything negative to say about him, it’s that he lives in California rather than Germany - this has German fans and press somewhat upset, but the man knows football and that is all that really matters.

Yes, Klinsmann was a well-know diver in his day (Siegy, if you doubt it, just Google Klinsmann and diving). Doesn’t have anything to do with Germany’s victory against Ecuador, however. Looks like die Mannschaft is getting better each game. Let’s hope the defense can continue to do the job against Sweden.

Klinsmann’s nickname in England was U-BOOT, guess why my german friends.. but dont think the german team are any special than other teams and defenitly dive less than f.i. Portugal or Italie..

getting a bit worried about your team my dear neighbours, you’re not as bad as the last couple of times around. Sweden will be no problem im sure,

hope we meet soon

I’m an Ecuador fan, and I’ll be the first to admit that Germany deserved to win that match. However, they are definitely divers. Today’s match with Argentina was horrible, watching players from both sides flop all over the field and roll around in mock pain. Both sides have enough talent to win without all the dramatics, but resort to cheating anyway.
