Bundesliga not so bad after all?

May 16th, 2006 | By: Harvey Morrell | 2 Comments »

According to this story in KickerOnline, the Bundesliga is second only to the English Premier League (86 to 69) in supplying players who made their country’s national team roster. Maybe the Bundesliga isn’t as bad as der Kaiser thinks it is.

I read an article in german SPIEGEL comparing the Bundesliga to other leagues across Europe. The Bundesliga therefore did not get that good results so I don´t think it´s that good though.

This time I might have to agree with the Kaiser who is not right that often, lately.

Knut, I think each league has its up and down years. Remember in the late ’90’s/early 2000’s when Italy didn’t advance any teams into the later rounds of the Champions League? The Bundesliga’s time will come again, once the aftershocks of the Kirch media empire’s collapse have worn off.
