What the heck is going on the 1860? Almost promoted last year, now looking at demotion? Who’s having a bad year? Everyone?

Everyone’s been having an off year. Things haven’t been the same since Wildmoser was forced to resign as Presiden in the wake of the Allianz Arena corruption scandal and finances got rather tight.

1860’s the team I follow as well … I got to see them play in Grunwalderstrasse in 2004, and expected big things this year, with the new stadium.

Are they saying 1860 could actually disappear if they lose the license?

Irony of ironies, FC Bayern has bailed them out financially, so the loss of their license isn’t likely to happen. In looking at the table, I realize that they also only need 2 points in the next 2 games to practically assure themselves of staying in the 2nd Division. Berg auf!
