An amusing (at least to me) thought

July 26th, 2006 | By: Harvey Morrell | 4 Comments »

Remember back when FC Bayern was angry at the German Soccer Association a couple years ago and was threatening to move to Serie A? (It’s not as crazy as it seems, since Bavarians consider themselves different from most Germans and the stereotypical Bavarian has more in common with the stereotypical enjoy-life Italian than with the stereotype of their straight-laced, workaholic compatriots to the north.) In light of the goings on in Italy, I wonder if Bayern had been involved whether they would have been relegated back to the Bundesliga, which I’m sure most Italians consider the equivalent to Serie B?

ahahaha nice post Harvey.
Well I was in Munchen a few days ago. I have to say Bavarians have a few in common with us Italians, they are still too (stereotypically) straight-laced for us.
Anyway I enjoyed some wonderful pork legs and great beer.
Nice City.
FC Bayern, come to serie A you are most welcome and I am going to enjoy some good away matches.

Thanks, Pao. I doubt that FC Hollywood was serious in their threat - they just wanted more concessions from the German Association. And if the impossible did happen and they did move to Serie A I doubt that they’d be making any Champion’s League appearances. :)

isn’t that WHY they have the champions league? i mean all you got to do is win and-allakazzam- your in a whole different league. i would imagine alot of FANS, of bayern, would be moving south of the alps if bayern were that pretentious. besides theres already a german contingeant at the VC.

I love Soccer so much! It is my favorite sport! I think that Franz Bekenbaur was the greatest mid-fielder ever! He was awesome! I play it soccer a lot.
